A reliable source of electric power for Nueva Ecija province

DEL

Dupinga Mini Hydropower main objective is to have a reliable, clean and environment friendly source of electric power that will enhance electricity supply in the province of Nueva Ecija, most especially in the municipality of Gabaldon.

Gabaldon Mayor Jobby Emata led the groundbreaking ceremony of the Dupinga Mini Hydropower Plant (DMHP) in Brgy. Malinao, Gabaldon, Nueva Ecija last June 24, 2020. This will start the construction of the hydropower plant that is expected to be completed in 26 months.

With power plant capacity of 4,800 kW and expected to be in full operation by the year 2022, this could generate approximately 23 gigawatt-hour per year that is equivalent to lighting up of around 21,000 households. It is also expected to help meet Central Luzon’s power requirements and spur economic activity in the province of Nueva Ecija.

Gabaldon local and barangay officials, Dumagat IP Council of Elders Representative,  Nueva Ecija Electric Cooperative, Inc. – Area 2 , Provincial Environment & Natural Resources Office, local religious leaders, Dupinga Mini Hydropower Management, contractors and suppliers, were among the groups and entities who participated in the said event.

PTS has been appointed as the Owner’s Engineer of DMHP and also did the detailed engineering design. We are also in charge of the construction supervision of the project.
